Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania.

We knew we were in for a trip of a lifetime going on a game drive in the Ngorongoro, but this was ridiculous. Two minutes into our safari and we’re already surrounded by elephants. I was hoping to come away with a soulful image of an elephant’s eye surrounded by the weathered texture of skin and mud. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be this close with a willing subject filling the first frame.
