If you are looking to capture still lakes and mirrored mountains very few places can rival Jasper National Park. Here’s an early morning image of Pyramid Mountain we captured as we celebrated Jasper National Park’s centennial earlier this year.
The shaded foreground created too much contrast to be captured in a single image. At the time I miscalculated the bracketing and had to recreate the over and underexposed brackets using RAW conversion tools afterwards. The 3 files were then ‘HDR processed’ and noise reduction was applied to clean up the HDR output. It is truly amazing what you can do in the digital darkroom.
