I thought B&H Photo’s used sales listing of a Canon 1200mm f/5.6L days after the merry elf’s rounds appropriate. For a mere $99,000 US you now go out and own that piece of super telephoto lore that someone forgot to put under the tree. Yes you read that right… $99,000 US. Given the rise of the Canadian dollar this one can be had for a bargain… sherpa not included.

Introduced in 1993, very few of these lenses were ever produced so finding one on the market is a rare sighting indeed. Details about the 1200mm f/5.6L can be found at the Canon Museum.
