Just a quick note from Lake Louise as we continue to celebrate the festive season. The snapshot above is from a short winterland hike we took to Lake Agnes. We were surprised by the amount of snow considering the relatively mild and dry winter we are experiencing. It felt great to stretch the legs again with some elevation gain and we made first tracks to the boarded-up teahouse despite a late morning start. Avalanche hazards and lack of snowshoes prevented us from getting any further into the peaks.

Here’s to the days getting longer. We can hear the peaks calling!
